Principal

Throughout his career, John has focused on park and recreational projects, including many for the National Park Service, as well as other federal, state, and local government agencies. His experience with projects that connect people and communities with history, recreation, wellness, and nature ranges from the design of new and expanded facilities that are contextually appropriate within historically, culturally, and environmentally sensitive sites to the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of some of our nation’s most historic buildings according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards. A certified Value Methodology Associate, he frequently uses this skill set to help multi-headed clients achieve consensus.

John holds leadership positions within the Building Congress & Exchange (BC&E), serving on the Executive Committee and as the Chair of the Programs Committee. He is also an active member and supporter of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation Maryland, the Society for the Advancement of Value Engineering (SAVE), and AIA Baltimore. John earned both Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Science degrees from Ball State University.
